Sometimes life places us in a dilemma. We feel like we are forced to choose between something good, or bad. Something that is creating a lot of inner conflict, and we can’t decide. We run in one direction, and justify it as much as we can. And we do the same with the other direction. Which way do we go? A lot of frustration and desperation can come from trying to force ourselves into or out of something that we are not ready for. Give yourself a break, and take a step back. Notice that the darkness of the night and the lightness of the day, welcome each other and transition into each other smoothly. It is only in our minds that we create the contrast of good or bad. There is no need to resist one or the other, embrace both options and find a way to move into your decision slowly and when you are ready. Be like the earth, and embrace the night and the day, welcome them both, as they each will enrich your life in different ways. The inner battle must stop. Placing yourself in a place where you feel pressured to make a choice can make you feel trapped. Give yourself the gift of freedom, of choosing both and neither at the same time. And of being open to what is to come.
